Sensory perception

This name was adopted by Patricia Stokoe (1929-1996) for her work, through which body image and emotion are deeply explored, in order to acquire a greater sensibility in general, which allows the appearance of constantly renovated images that enrich dance and life itself.

“In order to understand the world, to decode it, to recompose it and interpret it  we need to sharpen and train our senses;  to also be able to act in the world by showing ourselves as complete beings, through movement, words, sounds, art, etc.  Through our actions we generate new perceptions, new images that synthesize and enrich the previous ones.  It is through this process that we create the conditions that allow us to have a life where we can constantly produce new images.”
